Our primary focus is residential painting. Residential painting, done well. You may be wondering what does that mean? For us, that means that the price we quote for the scope of work requested is the price you pay. We do not try to get in the door at a ridiculously low price and find ways to add costs once we are there. We believe that you deserve to have premium quality materials used on your projects so your home is protected better and the project maintains an excellent appearance for as long as possible. It means we do not cut corners in our business. We hire actual employees so that we can have consistent quality and teach them how to do things our way. We do not use subcontractors to avoid the costs of running a legitimate business. We carry Workman's Compensation and Liability insurance so you and our employees are protected in case an accident. We are licensed by the State of Michigan. We certified by the EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting rule to work on homes built before 1978 (without RRP certification we could not work on homes built prior to 1978). We are fortunate to have valuable employees that have helped build Veltman Painting over the years. Tom Bergman and Jason Holstege are foremen on our exterior painting crews. I have had the privilege of working with them since 1997. They provide the backbone of our exterior crew by providing supervision and guidance to our exterior crew which typically is composed of 10 painters. Dean Veltman is the owner of Veltman Painting, LLC and has been painting since 1997. My primary responsibilities include estimating, supervising, and administrative tasks. I also assist on larger projects and work on wood finishes and shop finish work.
